About Lotus Elise K Series
We are in a unique position. As a new MG dealer and Lotus specialist we can offer many of the upgrades that have been developed for the new N series engines directly into the K series.
There have been several modifications carried out to K series to bring it up to date in terms of reliability and performance.
Most notably the over heating / headgasket issues. The introduction of the MLS headgasket and modified oil rail has totally eliminated the cause of failure by increasing the structural rigidity of the engine. Client feedback after having the modifications carried out has been excellent.

MG have also modified and improved many of the service replacement engine parts and where ever possible we use these parts when carrying out routine servicing to pass these benefits onto our clients.

Cylinder head re-surfaced, pressure and crack tested.
Valves de-coked and re-seated.
MLS headgasket and oil rail fitted.
New head bolts, gaskets and seals.
New cam belt, tensioner and altenator/AC belt.
New spark plugs, oil filter, air filter (if standard air box fitted) OAT coolant and a sump full of 'liquid engineering' (Castrol Edge Motorsport formula).
